Slash, Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators joined The Howard Stern Show on Tuesday morning to riff on Slash's career, his new album, WORLD ON FIRE, and for a live performance the morning of the U.S. album release.

WORLD ON FIRE is Slash's third solo album, and second with Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators. "I can sing, but I don't like singing," Slash said. He's ok with shredding heavy rock riffs, but don't ask him to talk about how he feels.

"You're expressing your deepest thoughts in song. It's really foreign to me," Slash said.

Stern doesn't believe Slash gets enough credit and recognition for his talents, but the famed guitarist played it cool. "You can't take yourself too seriously," Slash said. "It's not that big a deal."

Slash's iconic guitar riff from WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE is "one of greatest classic riffs of all time," according to Stern.

Slash didn't know he was ready to start playing with the Greats, he just jumped in."It's all about winging it," Slash said. "That's sort of the beauty of it."

Slash, Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators played a live performance, rocking out the title track, "World On Fire." The label was named for disastrous world events at the time.

"Flight 737 had just happened, stuff was heating up in Ukraine. It just seemed like the right title," Slash said.

"Go see these guys play," Howard Stern said. "It's a really awesome f****** show!"
