Indian-American comedian Hari Kondabolu released a short YouTube video last week in conjunction with Upworthy discussing his discomfort with DC Comics' portrayal of Superman.

It wasn't the ability to fly or the superstrength that left him cold, Kondabolu says. It was Superman's status as an undocumented immigrant.

As Kondabolu points out in the video, Superman is the ultimate "illegal alien." He is literally from outer space, flying around Metropolis stealing work from law enforcers and rescue workers.

How has he not yet been deported, or even had protests form over his immigration status?

Despite some naysayers, Kondabolu had this to say about his most recent video: "YouTube comments indicate that a lot of anti-immigrant folks don't like this. Neither do some nerds. I, however, am still proud of this piece."
