Guardians Of The Galaxy Tops Global Box Office; TMNT On Top IN U.S.

"Guardians of The Galaxy" tops the global box office chart but it could not catch up to "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles which topped the charts in the United States according to Rentrak.

"Disney's "Guardians of the Galaxy" crosses the $400 million mark worldwide as this, the latest Marvel superhero film continues to thrill audiences internationally adding another $33.1 million in 65 territories and $24.7 million in North America this weekend," Rentrak's Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian said.

"Audiences in 28 international markets shell out big bucks for "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" in its second weekend as the film sets its sights on the $200 million global box office mark."
