Marvel has released the first trailer for Thor: Ragnarok.

Unlike previous films in the series, this one will mostly be set outside of Earth. Not to mention this movie might be the funniest Marvel movie released to date thanks to its director Taika Waititi.

This first trailer for Thor: Ragnarok is mostly spoiler free. Cate Blanchett's Hela arrives on Asgard and pretty much overtakes it.

She even manages to even destroy Mjolnir which is Thor's most trusty hammer. This is impressive because not many people can carry the hammer let alone destroy it. The only characters that have held it include Thor himself and Vision.

Anyway, after Asgard's destruction Thor is captured and sent to the planet of Sakaar. There he is forced to shave his head and take part in gladiatorial combat.

Little does he know is that the Hulk is already there and ready to fight. Thor thinks everything is okay since he knows the Hulk. Sadly though, the Hulk is not in the mood to do any talking.

Anyway, Thor: Ragnarok is a loose retelling on the Planet Hulk comic book series. Taika Waititi describes the movie as a funny buddy comedy.

This movie also continues the trope of heroes fighting each other.

We saw this last year with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Captain America: Civil War. Even this year's Transformers: The Last Knight has a fight between Optimus Prime and Bumblebee.

When you watch the trailer, you can tell it has a different tone and look compared to previous Thor films. This one feels more like it could fit nicely with the Guardians of the Galaxy.

If you have not seen any movies from Taika Waititi, you shouldn't be disappointed. He always manages to make people laugh with any TV show or movie he has made.
