While today happens to be Inauguration Day for Donald Trump, Ellen DeGeneres still had one special message she wanted to deliver to President Barack Obama.

She along with members of the LGBT community and more recorded a message for President Obama, thanking him for his achievements in striving for equality.

DeGeneres quickly reflected on all of the accomplishments for equality that President Obama achieved, including repealing Don't Ask Don't Tell, pass the Hate Crimes Act and legalize marriage equality.

She reminded everyone that when many thought it wasn't possible, they were reminded that "yes we could and yes we did."

The show then rolled a compilation of video messages from Jim Parsons, Nathan Lane, Jonanthan Groff, Sia, Evan Rachel Wood, Neil Patrick Harris, Guillermo Diaz, Dan Bucatinsky, Sarah Silverman, Tig Notaro, Portia de Rossi, Lily Tomlin, Chris Colfer, Drew Barrymore, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and more.
