Early Spider-Man: Homecoming Box Office Weekend Prediction Made

Spider-Man used to be a big Box Office draw until Sony pretty much ruined the franchise with Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man franchise.

The character could be making a great comeback with Homecoming due out very soon. Can he become a Box Office powerhouse once again?

According to a report from Deadline, Spider-Man: Homecoming is projected to have a North American Box Office weekend of between $90 million to $108 million. These numbers are according to industry tracking as Sony has yet to make their own estimates.

If these numbers are accurate, the movie may have an opening weekend on par of that of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. It will fall short of the Box Office weekends of Spider-Man 2002 and Spider-Man 3.

The Box Office could go higher closer to the film's release on July 7th, 2017. If reviews and word of mouth is great, we could see an even higher opening.

A lower opening could be possible if the movie ends up not being very good. However, the film should be received well as Marvel knows its audience very well.

In terms of worldwide Box Office earnings, Homecoming could do really well.

Spider-Man is still one of the most recognized and most popular comic book heroes in the entire world. Spider-Man 3 remains the franchise's biggest earner as that movie received $890.9 million worldwide back in 2007.

Not to mention Homecoming has been trending well on social media all year long. The only things that might slow the movie down is its second trailer that showed too many spoilers.

Some people might want to skip the movie knowing what is going to happen. Others might skip the movie due to the character having too many reboots.
