The review embargo for Thor: Ragnarok has lifted and many critics are loving the movie so far.

It could be one of the best reviewed Marvel movies of all time if it manages to hold up. This is all thanks to the new direction for the Thor character and the film itself.

If you look at Rotten Tomatoes, Thor: Ragnarok has a very impressive 97 percent rating.

38 reviews have been collected so far with only one negative response as of time of writing. The rating is sure to change, but this is the number that it has received with the first batch of reviews.

In terms of the film's score, it received a respectable 7.8/10. This means many reviewers scored it 4/5 stars which is a big improvement over the last Thor film from 2013. You can read the critical consensus for the movie down below.

Exciting, funny, and above all fun, Thor: Ragnarok is a colorful cosmic adventure that sets a new standard for its franchise -- and the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The reason the movie is doing so well is thanks to the director Taika Waititi. Waititi has directed many funny comedies in his native country of New Zealand.

Waititi become so popular, Marvel picked him up for Thor and it seems as if it has paid off.

Some members of the general audience might be disappointed about the movie's comedy approach, although the film is still on track to earn more money than the previous Thor films.

Next year's Black Panther will be the last Marvel movie until the mega release of Avengers: Infinity War. Infinity War is when all of the Marvel heroes have to work together in order to take down Thanos.
