The Early Rotten Tomatoes Rating For Kingsman: The Golden Circle Revealed

The review embargo for Kingsman: The Golden Circle has now been lifted and it appears as if the sequel is not as well received as the first one.

The critics that have seen the movie so far are having mixed opinions about it.

As seen on Rotten Tomatoes, Kingsman: The Golden Circle has received an early rating of only 57 percent.

As of time of writing, 22 reviews are fresh while 16 of them are rotten. It has an average score of only 5.4/10 meaning that most reviews have been hovering around the 2 or 3 star mark.

This is down from the 74 percent rating that Kingsman: The Secret Service received back in 2015. Looking at the reviews for the sequel, many reviewers believe it to be not as good as the first movie.

They say the sequel is less creative and that it's bloated. However, some of the reviews like it saying that it contains the same amount of violence as the first film and that it's still enjoyable to watch,

Kingsman: The Golden Circle is out in North America on September 22nd, 2017. It is expected to gross around $40 million to $45 million in its opening weekend.

It has to contend with The Lego Ninjago Movie. Not to mention Stephen King's 'It' is still out in cinemas and is breaking September Box Office records. 'It' exceeded expectations to become one of the most profitable movies in 2017.

Anyway, it will be interesting to see what the audience thinks of the Kingsman sequel.

Historically, sequels are usually not as good as the first movies apart from a few notable exceptions like The Dark Knight and Terminator 2 just to name a few...
