Rampage was an old video game where big monsters started attacking the city for some reason.

Well Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is in the middle of making a Hollywood version of the game and he has now shared some details of the movie's plot.

It appears as if the story will somewhat follow the slim plot that was present in the old video game.

The Rock revealed the story for Rampage over on his Instagram page. The film could be a fun movie judging by his description of the plot.

Don't expect this movie to have a deep story as this is aimed to be full of blockbuster fun. The synopsis can be seen below.

I head up an anti poaching unit out of Rwanda. My best friend is a rare albino gorilla named, George. Very bad people infect George, an alligator and a wolf with a serum. All three animals grow at an unprecedented rate. Their size, speed, agility and violent aggression is off the charts. They go on a deadly rampage and want to destroy the world.

The Rock goes on to say that his character is going to find the people that are responsible for turning his albino gorilla into a monster. The visual effects is being developed by WETA. WETA were responsible for making the excellent Lord of the Rings movies and more. The Rock then says he hopes this film raises the bar when it comes to monster movies.

I played the old Rampage game when I was younger and it's a lot of fun. I actually still own a copy of the original game.

Hopefully the movie doesn't take itself too seriously and adds a lot of humor and fun. The movie will be out in 2018.
