Baywatch is out now and many critics and reviewers hated the movie.

However, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson seems unfazed by the criticisms and feels the movie could still be successful because a lot of the fans have enjoyed the film so far.

The Rock tweeted out that critics hate the movie, but fans LOVE the movie. He goes on to say that there is a huge disconnect between the two and that people just want to have fun and laugh.

In a second tweet, he says that the critics have their knives ready to tear the movie down.

He went on to say that there are a lot of positive reviews from fans so the critics don't know what the people want.

I've yet to see the movie as it's not out in my country yet. However, movies that have poor reviews can sometimes still make lots of money.

Transformers: Age of Extinction had poor reviews when it came out in 2014, but it still made over $1.1 billion at the worldwide Box Office.

That being said, a lot of the money came from China and they usually don't read reviews from Western media.

The same thing can be said about DC's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad.

Both films were hammered by the critics last year, although many fans around the world love both movies.

At the end of the day, things like movies are subjective so it's up to your own opinion whether you like a film or not.

It's safe to assume that Baywatch will still make a lot of money at the Box Office due to The Rock's worldwide appeal.

Not to mention adding the Baywatch name could also appeal to fans that watched the old TV show back in the '90s.

The film though faces stiff competition as it releases at the same time as Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.
