The American people voting Donald Trump as the USA President has been very controversial and a large amount of people are unhappy with it.

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson expressed interest in challenging Trump in 2020, although it sounds like he will have to delay this until 2024.

Variety had a chance to interview Dwayne Johnson while he was out promoting his new movie called Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.

It seems as if his movie schedule is too heavy for him to become US President in 2020 so he's looking at 2024 instead. You can read his comments down below.

I couldn't do both. Realistically, as we go into 2018, when you look at my slate as we're developing and shooting into 2019 and 2020, the slate goes deep into 2021, so it feels like the realistic consideration would be 2024.

The only reason Johnson wants to run for President stems back on an article he saw on the Washington Post.

They put up a poll where The Rock could have won the 2016 election against both Hillary Clinton and eventual real life winner Donald Trump.

The Rock is registered as an Independent meaning he won't align himself with the Democratic or Republican parties if he decides to campaign in 2024.

That said, he's a huge movie star and could get the popular vote easily if he manages to choose the right words and doesn't anger anybody.

Professional wrestlers in politics is nothing new. Jesse Ventura was voted in as the Governor of Minnesota nearly two decades ago.

Not to mention Linda McMahon (wife of WWE Owner Vince) currently works in the Trump administration. Another wrestler is giving politics are crack as Glen Jacobs (Kane) is currently campaigning to be the 2018 Knox County mayor.
