Tyrone Magnus, the voice actor with a strong presence on social media, has joined the cast of Dragon Ball Absalon--the popular fan series that takes place after the events of Dragon Ball GT.

Magnus has a deep voice, so he may be voicing someone like Piccolo. Alternatively, he could be taking the role of someone more villainous.

He could fit either role, and it will be interesting to see how he fits into this Christopher Nolan-esque take on the Dragon Balllore.

Absalon has been active recently after a long hiatus. The last episode aired in 2013, but a video surfaced this year announcing that episode 3 would launch in July.

Then, in May, series creator Mellavelli announced that he would no longer be working on the series. This was decision was, to the fortune of fans, reconsidered a few days later, and Mellavelli said that he would complete his tale.

Unlike Battle of Gods and Revival of F--Dragon Ball's recent official releases--Absalon's story assumes that GT is canon, meaning that Super Saiyan 4 is still in existence. It even borrows from the popular fan manga, Dragon Ball AF.

Dragon Ball Absalon, Episode 3 airs next month. It will be a length episode, meaning that it will be longer than the first two installments.
