Famous DJ from Sweden, Avicii (real name Tim Bergling), has sadly died at the age of 28 today. His publicist, Diana Baron, confirmed the death with his body being found in Oman.

The publicist announced the sad news to the media and Billboard reported about the details. You can read the full announcement from the publicist posted down below.

"It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii. He was found dead in Muscat, Oman this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th. The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given."

An official cause of death has not been named yet, although it has been known that Avicii suffered from a lot of health issues in the past.

Due to his excessive consumption of alcohol over the years, he suffered from acute pancreatitis.

Furthermore in 2014, he had to cancel his tour prematurely because he had to remove his gallbladder and appendix. Due to all of his health issues, he had to stop touring and performing in concerts.

Avicii was known around the world for his EDM music and released two successful albums in his lifetime. Perhaps the singer's most famous hit song was 'Wake me Up' which dominated the music charts all over the world back in 2013.

Hopefully within the next few days we will get an idea of his real cause of death. It's quite sad that a music performer like him had to die at such a young age.
