Desiigner Becomes the First American Artist to Top Billboard's Hot 100 in 41 Weeks

When you think of the song "Panda" you wouldn't believe that it would be the song that puts America back on top of the Billboard Hot 100 list. However, Desiigner has himself a seemingly viral hit.
Desiigner's "Panda" took over the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 from Rihanna and Drake's "Work." Prior to Desiigner, Adele, Rihanna, Drake and Justin Bieber, who happen to all be international stars, held the top spot for 41-weeks straight.
"'Panda,' released on imprint G.O.O.D. Music (founded by Kanye West) and label Def Jam, darts 2-1 on the Hot 100," according to Billboard.
"It spends a second week atop the Streaming Songs chart, with 35 million overall U.S. streams (up 23 percent), in the week ending April 21, according to Nielsen Music. Approximately two-thirds of the track's Hot 100 points are from streaming, with the highest share (43 percent) of its streams from non-Vevo YouTube views, as no official video for the track has yet been released; an official clip is in the works, according to Def Jam."
We're not sure how long Desiigner's reign will continue as Drake will be dropping his highly anticipated album Views From the 6 a.k.a.
