Dave Bautista is now an actor in Hollywood getting a lot of roles in various big movies.

However, he first became famous as a professional wrestler for the WWE. Now it seems as if the WWE is wanting to reward his efforts by inducting him into next year's Hall of Fame ceremony.

As reported by wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer (via WrestleZone), Dave Bautista is the frontrunner to headline the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame next year. Usually when a wrestler is inducted into the Hall of Fame, it marks the end of their in-ring career.

This could be a sign that Bautista isn't planning on wrestling anymore. He could be open to one more match, but another full-time gig is out of the cards since he's getting too many movie roles these days.

WrestleMania 34 happens next April and this is a good opportunity for both Dave Bautista and WWE to help promote each other. Bautista will be starring in Avengers: Infinity War in May 2018 so the timing is perfect for both parties.

Of course, this depends on if Bautista accepts the invitation. He has been very vocal about the current WWE product as of late...

It's interesting WWE is thinking of inducting him before the likes of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and The Undertaker. The Rock is usually too busy since he's got far more projects going on.

As for The Undertaker, he status is still up in the air.

Even though he "retired" at WrestleMania 33, there are rumors that he could come back for at least one more match. WWE might want him to finally face John Cena.
