The Dark Knight directed by Christoper Nolan will forever go down as one of the best movies ever made. To celebrate the movie's 10th anniversary, the film will return to cinemas for special screenings later this year.

As reported by ComicBook.com, theater chain Showcase Cinemas is showing the legendary movie on the big screen once again on February 8th, 2018 and February 11th, 2018.

Bear in mind, this is just one cinema chain so not every franchise in North America will be showing the movie on the big screen again.

That said, a wider release could still be in the cards if demand is really high.

I remember watching The Dark Knight in IMAX back in 2008 and I knew after it finished it was the greatest movie I have ever seen.

Yes in my opinion it's my favorite movie from any genre not just for comic book/superhero movies.

The Dark Knight also solidified Christopher Nolan to be one of the best living directors in Hollywood today. He went on to direct other classics as such Inception, Interstellar and Dunkirk.

Nolan is also one of the few directors that can make original movies that still earn a lot of money at the Box Office. Only James Cameron is another director that people watch his movies for his name alone.

Warner Bros has tried to replicate the success of The Dark Knight trilogy since then, but their efforts haven't been all that successful yet.

This is because the DCEU has had mixed opinions ever since it started with Man of Steel in 2013.

The only universally praised movie in the DCEU so far has been Wonder Woman. Let's hope Warner Bros can strike gold again as the DCEU has the potential to be awesome if it's done the right way.
