CW: Fans Should Not Worry About Supergirl/DC's Legends of Tomorrow Time Slot Changes

If you watch Supergirl and DC's Legends of Tomorrow, you may notice that the shows are sharing the same timeslot in early 2018.

The CW says fans should not worry about the time slot changes mainly because it gives Supergirl a chance to shine when most other shows are off the air during the Summer.

TVLine got a chance to talk to CW President Mark Pedowitz and there is a reason why the rest of Supergirl's third season is delayed.

Pedowitz revealed that the show had some production issues which is why the change has been made.

Pedowitz says fans should not worry about the changes though. You can read his comments about the time slot arrangements down below.

At the same time, we thought, 'This is a good place put put Legends,' knowing that iZombie would go behind it at the end of February. It also allowed us to extend into the summer, to give us more original programming, which is actually a good thing for us. The fans of Supergirl should not be worried in any way, shape or form. We are big believers in the show, and big believers in [series lead] Melissa [Benoist] and the direction of the show.

Hopefully it does not affect the ratings for both shows. Big breaks in between seasons usually means a drop off in viewers.

I'm a huge fan of the Supergirl TV series, so I'm hoping the show can still find an audience during the Summer season.

It will be sad if this delay causes the CW to cut back Supergirl's budget if a fourth season of the show gets green-lit.

Anyway, Supergirl returns next week and will run for four more episodes. After that, the rest of DC's Legends of Tomorrow will be airing until Supergirl returns in the Summer season of 2018.
