Scavenger Hunt Releases Debut Single "Lost"

Scavenger Hunt, consisting of Dan Mufson and Jill Lamoureux, is a duo sure to be on the rise this new year as far as new and talented artists come.

They just released their debut single "Lost", which has received big-time blog acceptance by Pigeons and Planes, Indie Shuffle and The Burning Ear.

The electro-pop group is set to release their first EP come 2014, and have made their debut into the music world with their release of "Lost".

"Some heavy-handed percussion gives Scavenger Hunt's "Lost" just the right amount of bite, but other than that it's pure, well-executed pop with robust production and a melody strong enough to match", Pigeons and Planes recently praised of the dreamy debut release.

Scavenger Hunt formed together pretty much by fate. Dan Mufson, and established music composer from Philadelphia, moved to Los Angeles in 2011 in search for other creative talents and minds to work with on projects.

"Dan likened the process to a scavenger hunt, and when he first heard the enchanting voice of Jill Lamoureux, he knew he had to work with her", a recent press release in promotion to their latest single stated.

Lamoureux, a jazz-folk singer from Wichita, Kansas, agreed to collaborate with the producer and lend her voice to the project Mufson was producing.

"For Dan and Jill, the Scavenger Hunt led them to one another", the press release continues. Now the duo has reached listeners and fans on both coasts of the states, all in anticipation of their EP release coming soon.

As for what else is in store for the duo in 2014, Scavenger Hunt will perform a few shows in Los Angeles now through early February, at venues including The Lyric Theater, The Spare Room at Roosevelt Hotel, The Satellite and The Bootleg.
