Come early February, Mas Ysa will be releasing his debut EP 'Worth' for audiences and fans around the world.

Thomas Arsenault, the mind behind Mas Ysa, has premiered his self-directed and edited video for the first single "Why" off his soon-to-be-released album.

The video was shot in Arsenault's own home located in Woodstock, New York and "features an abstract relationship being hashed out in a dark ice hockey rink".

Arsenualt, who spent a great amount of time on the Kent Avenue Scene in Brooklyn and performed numerous times at popular Brooklyn venues including 285 Kent and Glasslands, spent most of his time writing his songs and music during the wee hours in the dead of night.

He has performed and opened for acts including Purity Ring, Delorean and RZA, with recent performance dates with Deerhunter and Marnie Stern.

Mas Ysa's 27-minute upcoming EP introduces a full-fledged artistic world, demonstrating his "unique penchant for both composition and production," a recent press release in promotion of the release stated. The album features tracks that have been described as heart-wrenching, haunting, odes to fear and loss, and ballads of being on the run.

"The EP is wound together through a series of ambient transitions that use analog synthesis, field recordings, wind and icy drones to connect the dots," the press release continued.

Mas Ysa is set to head out on a month long tour from February to March, with stops in Brooklyn, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego.
