EMPTY LIGHTHOUSE: How did you get your start individually in music before you formed together as 3OH!3?
3OH!3: We both grew up in pretty musical families. My mom and dad sing and play guitar, and my older brothers was a DJ, so I was constantly trying to be creative with them.

My pass time with my friends was just getting together and creating new music.

Nat was a DJ and started producing as well. When most kids would rather play video games, we were messing around with production programs and recording songs.

EMPTY LIGHTHOUSE: What was your influence to get together as a band?
3OH!3: We liked a lot of hip-hop at the time we got together, but I think we were mostly into electronic fringe bands like The Faint.

We wanted to meld a few different genres together, and have fun doing it.

EMPTY LIGHTHOUSE: How did you come up with the name "3OH!3"?
3OH!3: 303 is the telephone code for our home state Colorado.

I wanted to pay homage to my home and got 3OH!3 to be better than our other option "trash can mutha-fuckers", so we went with 3OH!3.

EMPTY LIGHTHOUSE: Who do you consider your musical influences?
3OH!3: We love innovators, people who aren't afraid to bring their own sound to music. Right now we are loving Kendrick Lamar and Drake.

EMPTY LIGHTHOUSE: In spare time, who are some bands and artist you've been listening to?
3OH!3: Earl Sweatshirt, Ellie Goulding, Daws.

To be honest, we listen to a lot of our friends' bands and projects. We are luck to be surrounded by some really talented people.

EMPTY LIGHTHOUSE: What has been your most memorable experience while touring?
3OH!3: Playing Reading and Leeds in the UK was amazing.

We didn't know what to expect the first time through and we were greeted by 10,000 roaring fans. It was really memorable.

EMPTY LIGHTHOUSE: If you could collaborate with anyone, who would it be and why?
3OH!3: I would love to do a song with Seal or maybe Sting. I just think those guys are amazing!

EMPTY LIGHTHOUSE: If you were stranded on an island, what three things would you want to bring with you?
3OH!3: A guitar, sriracha (for the coconuts) and the Lord of the Rings books.

EMPTY LIGHTHOUSE: What are your upcoming plans in regards to more touring, recording and releases?
3OH!3: We are finishing out US tour called "The Noise Tour". We played all the major cities and really looked forward to seeing all our fans around the country.

We just recorded a song with all the other bands on the tour called "Turn the Night On".

The song is online and has a fun video that we edited and threw up.

This was our first headlining tour in support of our album, Omens, so its been really fun and we are stoked to be at it again!

EMPTY LIGHTHOUSE: Anything else you would like to add?
3OH!3: COME ON OUT AND RAGE WITH US!
