So I finally succumbed to all this hoopla and decided to watch this "epic" TLC movie that everyone has been talking about. But not before breakfast.

As I sit and eat my eggs, I'm captivated by the first couple of minutes already. Thinking I'm some kind of music historian, I'm surprised because I had no idea how the group had even started. Then, as the movie progressed I was even more impressed, even though it was comedic seeing the character Cole from the TV sitcom Martin play such a monstrous record exec as LA Reid. But nonetheless I was still impressed.

14 minutes in and the cohesiveness of it was surprising. It was like an unexpected soap opera.

A good one, with a playful scene spinning into a serious one with Chilli played by Keke Palmer, sharing a steamy on screen kiss with Dallas Austin played by Evan Ross.

If only his mama knew what he was doing up there... I laughed to myself. Even in the midst of the romance, it was informative and it gave me the origin of Left eyes eye patch which was a condom. When I was younger, I always thought it was a lollipop with the stick broken off.

The story drew me in. As it progressed, I started to dislike Pebbles played by Rochelle Aytes, more and more.

She seemed so crooked; I wanted to pull her through the screen for being so conniving and manipulative and I started to feel the same way for Dallas Austin's character as well.

It was sad knowing my favorite member of the group, Left eye, had a drinking problem but I loved her even more knowing she was a spur of the moment individual such as myself.

Then the moment that made me love her even more appeared on screen, when she lit a tub filled with brand new tennis shoes ablaze in the home of her boyfriend at the time Andre Rison. Just like that, thousands of dollars worth of brand new merchandise was turned to ashes. Seeing them go through financial woes, Left eye letting her ego almost collapse the group, all those things had my nose pressed up against the computer.

It transitioned into Left eye, going to Honduras for spiritual healing and then T-boz getting bittersweet news from her doctor that she was pregnant.

It ended up being bittersweet because of her battle with sickle cell anemia and its possible effects on the baby.

Scene by scene the cohesiveness on screen made them look like TLC as the seconds passed. This movie is beyond good. I love going into watching a movie with being prepared to be completely bored and it's the total opposite. As I watched the minutes counting down the end of the movie, I knew I couldn't escape the death of Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, but I continued watching, cringing every second. I went from having my nose pressed against the screen to far back deep into a chair with one eye closed.

ugh! The suspense. Then the phone call came and so did my tears, I cried as if it had just happened and as if she was a member of my family. They showed clips from the actual funeral and from news clips that made the tears come even more.

And this solidified the movie for me. Authentic, moving and clever. I loved it!!!
