The last time comedian Quincy Jones made his way to the Ellen DeGeneres show, he shared his story of courage while battling mesothelioma, an incurable cancer.

This time around, Jones, who apparently only has a couple months to live according to doctors, gets the surprise of his life.

Last time, Jones told his incredible story about still wanting to bring the gift of laughter despite a very dismal and horrible diagnosis.

Now, just one week later he was back on the Ellen DeGeneres show and she had something special up her sleeves.

DeGeneres rehashed the fact that Jones really wants to do a comedy special which he agreed with, she then reveals that the show called the head of HBO and HBO is going to air his special. Jones was so elated with joy he couldn't stop smiling and laughter. He had to take a sip of water as DeGeneres revealed that his people knew but he didn't.

She also revealed that she and Shutterfly will give him an additional $15,000 to help cover the filming and production costs.

The Ellen Show has more information on the location and date for Jones' show. He also has his Kickstarter which will also go towards making his dream a reality, after being told he only has one year to live.
