Former WWE wrestler CM Punk is now a UFC fighter, although he hasn't fought since he lost his debut fight against Mickey Gall back in September 2016.

Well CM Punk is teasing he might return to the octagon again for only his second ever professional fight.

The official UFC Twitter page announced that it will be holding the UFC 225 PPV in the city of Chicago which happens to be the hometown of CM Punk. Punk responded with his own tweet with emojis piquing his interest.

That said, CM Punk is not the one that makes decisions as that's all up to Dana White.

However, White knows Punk's name is still popular among professional wrestling fans so it's possible he will fight again on a major PPV.

Punk turned to MMA after he got tired of all the behind the scenes politics that happens in the wrestling world of WWE. In WWE, stars are only created if the boss and/or management likes you or not.

Punk left the WWE on very sour terms in 2014 and has vowed never to return ever again.

Aside from writing comic books for Marvel, being a UFC fighter is now his main career choice and he's been enjoying it so far.

Sadly though, Punk's MMA debut did not go smoothly as he lost in two minutes against Mickey Gall at UFC 203. If Punk does fight at UFC 225, this will be nearly two years after the last fight.

We just have to wait and see what happens, although White knows any publicity will sell a lot of tickets.

For now, fans of Punk can currently play as him in the recently released EA Sports UFC 3 video game for PS4 and Xbox One.

UFC 225 happens on June 9th, 2018 in the great city of Chicago
