Chris Maynard is an American artist capable of creating art out of unusual objects.

His peculiar series of works consists of creations made out of birds' feathers.

To create them, he uses one feather per artwork that he subsequently cuts and turns into intricate three-dimensional pictures that portray romantic flocks of winged animals. The particular choice of feather to use takes time and makes Maynard's art even more unique and precious.

Simple objects that open a view to his different world, sensible and delicate like the feather chosen to create it.

He collects the tools of his work everywhere he can find them, whether it's during a walk in a zoo or during one of his trips. Maynard then studies it and decides on how to turn it into art.

Demonstrating that even a little feather can contain the beauty of a painting inside.

When asked about his choice of using such an original material to create his work, he stated, "my work with feathers gives me a satisfying perch from which to view the world."
