Future Islands, a synth-pop band out of Baltimore, Maryland, will bring another Baltimore-based band, Celebrations, with them throughout their entire European tour, beginning in Amsterdam in October 3.

Future Islands new album SINGLES was released earlier this year. "SINGLES is a great balance of pop and melodrama," wrote Pitchfork writer Jeremy Larson in his album review.

"These songs finally invite us to participate in Herring's world, one shaped by geological heartbreak events and their epochal reflection periods, told with nothing more than the simple truth.

It's pop music distilled, something Future Islands have been working at since their earliest lo-fi electro-punk recordings."

Celebrations--a perfect-to-pair, psychedelic rock band--just released ALBUMIN, the band's fourth album, and the newest since the release of ELECTRIC TAROT: HELLO PARADISE back in 2010.

The two bands collaborated in 2010 when Celebrations singer Katrina Ford worked on Future Islands' studio album, IN THE FALL, featuring Ford's vocals on the title track.

Future Islands most recently headlined at Boston Calling Music Festival in early September.

Aside from their current tour, Future Islands will also play at Iceland Airwaves festival in November, headlining Saturday night alongside Caribou. Iceland Airwaves is a five-day festival based out of Reykjavik, and will also feature Iceland's Mammut and Introbeats.
