Bence Bakonyi is an Hungarian photographer, based in Shanghai, that likes to transform locations by playing with colors and optical illusions.

With only the help of models dressed with the same color tones as the backgrounds, Bakonyi integrates the subjects with the surroundings, creating curious optical effects.

This series of works is called ''Transform'' and displays numerous human ''chameleons'' that blend with buildings simply with the help of their clothes.

The choice of the locations is important to give the right contrast and make the fusion of subjects easier.
The result makes his photography almost surreal, often showing a lonely aspect of life.

Talking about the distinction between the body and mind in his photos Bakonyi says: "It's so alluring, sometimes as if the will of the body would want to swallow me, leaving my thoughts behind, but then comes the soul to pull me back."
