Star Wars is still the biggest Box Office weekend earners in North America, although things are looking up for Black Panther that it could open with more than $200 million.

We could be looking at one of the biggest openings of all time.

As announced by Fandango, Black Panther is now the fourth highest pre sales ticket seller of all time in the North American territory.

It falls short of Rogue One, The Last Jedi and The Force Awakens in the top three spots.

This is based on advanced ticket sales and many charitable people bought several for underprivileged kids to go see the movie.

If Black Panther can get an opening above $200 million, it will be in the top five biggest weekends of all time.

The current king is The Force Awakens sitting comfortably in first place with an opening of $247.9 million with another Star Wars movie The Last Jedi in second place with $220 million.

The next two highest openings are Jurassic World at $208 million and then The Avengers with $207 million.

It's likely the $247.9 million that The Force Awakens got will be too high for Black Panther to reach. The Force Awakens had mega demand since fans had not seen a Star Wars movie in over a decade.

I'm guessing Black Panther could open between $200 million to $210 million making it third behind the two Star Wars films. It doesn't really matter for Disney since they own both Star Wars and Marvel movies!

If Black Panther does open above $200 million, four of the top five opening weekends will belong to Disney. Only Jurassic World from Universal Pictures has been able to crack over $200 million in its opening weekend.

Anyway, I'm hoping Black Panther is able to be a huge success as it's really entertaining. You can check out our own review of the movie by clicking here
