Black Panther continues to dominate the worldwide Box Office as it is still making tons of money from both North America and countries around the world.

It will go down as one of the highest grossing Marvel standalone films of all time.

As reported by Deadline, Black Panther earned an amazing $65.7 million in its third weekend in North America. It's the third best third weekend of all time behind the Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Avatar with $90.2 million and $68.5 million respectively.

Black Panther is now the second highest grossing MCU film in North America as it has now received $501.1 million domestically. The only MCU movie that is higher is The Avengers as that grossed $623 million back in 2012.

From a worldwide standpoint, the film is getting ever closer to grossing over $1 billion around the world. The current worldwide tally for the film is $897.7 million.

Black Panther is out now in most countries, but won't be released until later this weekend in China. With the China gross, the film should easily cross the $1 billion milestone very soon.

Marvel's film continues to beat down new releases that came out this week. Jennifer Lawrence's Red Sparrow only grossed roughly $17 million over the weekend while Bruce Willis' Death Wish underwhelmed with a $13 million gross.

Black Panther will finally get bigger competition this March with the releases of A Wrinkle in Time, Tomb Raider and Pacific Rim Uprising. For now though, Marvel should be happy with the critical and commercial success of the film.

The next film in the MCU is Avengers: Infinity War. That film will now be released on April 27th, 2018 and could earn even more money than Black Panther.
