Smashing Pumpkins frontman, Billy Corgan, has been making us scratch our heads pretty regularly over the past few years.

From his short-lived poetry career, to his tea-shop business, professional wrestling company, and rumored reality t.v. show, Corgan has managed to raise quite a few eyebrows.

Whether we're witnessing a mid-life crisis is up to interpretation, but either way, I think it's fair to say that Pumpkins fans have become desensitized to Corgan's crazy exploits.

With that being said, we didn't even blink when he dropped his latest news.

Corgan announced earlier this year that the band would be putting out a new album, 'Monuments to an Elegy.' Yesterday he updated fans about the album's progress and admitted that they will be recording with a new drummer.

Who's the lucky guy? Who else, but Tommy Lee?

Corgan posted a studio picture with Lee with a caption that read:

"Here's a shot from the mission out west. Just finished round 1 of tracking drums with Tommy Lee for the new the Smashing Pumpkins album.

Shockla-locka-boom. Yes, that T Lee for all 9 songs of 'Monument To An Elegy.'"

Well, take that as you will. 'Monuments' is expected to be released sometime in 2015, along with another album, 'Day For Night.'
