Bill Simmons has returned to Twitter after the three week suspension levied by his employer, ESPN after he attacked NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on his podcast.

Did his first tweet answer any questions about his feelings on the suspension? Did he thanks his fans? Trash his bosses? Go After Goodell?

Nope. He played it safe tweeting about an NBA preview on the Grantland.com site he runs for ESPN.

After the suspension was issued many have questioned whether the outspoken sports writer would return to ESPN. Now, speculation has shifted to whether he will leave the sports giant when his contract expires. Simmons, who makes a reported $5 million a year, has clashed repeatedly with ESPN management.

If he decided to leave he would be a highly sought after free agent.
