Exercise your right to laugh this Independence Day weekend, with "AXS TV's 5TH of July Comedy High-Five" marathon on Saturday, July 5, at 3 p.m. EST.

The block features five hours of the network's hit series Gotham Comedy Live, putting the spotlight on some of the country's top comics as they deliver sidesplitting stand-up from the world-famous Gotham Comedy Club in New York City.

Each episode of Gotham Comedy Live is hosted by a different stand-up legend, with IN LIVING COLOR star Tommy Davidson kicking off the marathon at 3pE, followed by eccentric comedian and acclaimed filmmaker Bobcat Goldthwait; Good Times fan-favorite Jimmie "J.J." Walker; AXS TV's own Tom Green, host of Tom Green Live; and closing out with the inimitable Gilbert Gottfried at 7 p.m.

EST.

"Gotham Comedy Live is the ultimate showcase for the industry's rising talent, as the comedy stars of today set the stage for the headliners of tomorrow," said Michele M. Dix, AXS TV's senior vice president, programming and development.

"This marathon gives viewers a taste of the best that the current scene has to offer. If you're a true comedy connoisseur, you will enjoy this five hour shot of stand-up."

Since 1996, the Gotham Comedy Club has been the premier destination for up-and-coming comics and established veterans, alike.

Over the years, it has hosted top-tier talent such as Dave Chappelle, Jim Gaffigan, Susie Essman and Gabriel Iglesias, while serving as the backdrop for countless TV shows and films, including the Jerry Seinfeld documentary Comedian.

Gotham Comedy Live is produced by Killer Bunny Entertainment, Sugar Hit Entertainment, and Gotham Comedy Club for AXS TV.
