Avengers: Infinity War Could Have Up To 76 Cast Members According To Chris Hemsworth

Avengers: Infinity War is set to have one of the biggest casts in Hollywood history thanks to the film uniting pretty much every MCU hero together.

Chris Hemsworth who plays Thor has made an estimation on how many actual cast members (excluding extras) are actually in the movie.

Hemsworth spoke about the mammoth production of the film while he was being interviewed by the Toronto Sun. You can read his comments about Avengers: Infinity War posted down below.

This is one of the biggest things in film history and to be a part of it was just incredible. I think what these characters are about to face -- with Thanos -- there's been nothing quite like it. There are 76 cast members or something like that. I think what people are going to be excited about is what I was excited about and that's Thor meeting the Guardians and Iron Man meeting Doctor Strange.

So far the MCU currently has 17 movies and all of them are being tied together in Infinity War. No other film franchise in history has made a big commitment like this.

It is pretty cool how Marvel Studios has been able to assemble a huge cast full of great stars.

In the past, a film like this would have been impossible with the amount of star power that is involved due to budgetary reasons.

Infinity War is just one part of the movie as the untitled Avengers 4 will conclude the story in 2019. After that, the current MCU might look a little different as many of the original actors' contracts are up after 2019.

That won't stop Marvel because the company still plans on making more movies with new characters and actors. Phase 4 is already planned with Spider-Man: Homecoming 2, Captain Marvel and Guardians of the Galaxy 3 all in early pre-production.
