Avengers: Infinity War Continues To Break Many Box Office Milestones

Avengers: Infinity War continues to march on to become the biggest movie released in 2018. The amount of money it has been making in just a short amount of time is nothing short of mind blowing. 

As reported by Box Office Pro, Avengers: Infinity War has gotten the second highest second weekend Box Office total in history. For its second ever weekend, the movie has made an estimated $112.5 million. 

This overtakes Black Panther impressive second weekend total of $111 million.

However, the film lost out to Star Wars: The Force Awakens which grossed an amazing $149 million in its second ever weekend. This is thanks to the movie's release during the Christmas holidays!

Still, Infinity War is making a lot of money as it now has a North American total of $450 million so far.

At this rate, it should easily exceed Avengers: Age of Ultron and should pass over $600 million by the end of next weekend.

From a worldwide standpoint, Box Office Pro reports that Infinity War has grossed $1.16 billion around the world.

It managed to be the fastest film to reach over $1 billion in a record setting 11 days beating the 12 days it took The Force Awakens to reach that milestone.

Let's not forget that its worldwide total does not even include China and Russia since the movie is not out yet on those two countries.

The report suggests the film could be on track to gross over $2 billion worldwide by the end of its theatrical run.

Only three films in history have grossed over $2 billion worldwide and this includes Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Titanic and Avatar. It will be interesting to see how far the movie can go!
