'90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days' Episode 5 Recap: The Shocking Truth About Paul

Just as 90 Day Fiance becomes a blowout, we have another show getting interesting... And here we go -- tonight's 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days recap.

'90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days' Paul and Karine

This episode starts with Paul and Karine deciding what to do. Karine wants to go swimming in the river, but Paul is afraid of things swimming up his urethra. Eventually she convinces him to jump in.

Paul puts on a condom so no fish swim up on him. He also has a life jacket and his clothes on. Karine is embarrassed about how crazy Paul is. They still can't communicate at all.

The next day, Paul has to hang out in the village; he wants to ask her dad for Karine's hand in marriage. He asks the question via a translator app.

At first, the dad doesn't understand. Eventually the father understands, and he tells the mother. They both give him their blessing.

That evening, Karine discovers that Paul had brought a pregnancy test...and she's mad. He of course also wants her to take an STD test. We don't know what she will say.

Why does Paul want a pregnancy test? As we predicted, a girl he was dating became pregnant and the baby wasn't his...he wants to protect himself, he says. Karine agrees to take the test.

'90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days' Larry and Jenny

Larry is a new character added to the show. He's a McDonalds manager and he "loves it." He has two kids from two different women, who apparently refused to commit. He also has a dog.

He met a 24 year old woman from the Philippines online -- her name is Jenny.

He's never left the country, but he's heading there now; however, before he leaves he has to tell his kids about Jenny. They're of course concerned.

Larry says as soon as he got on to the Philippines dating site he had 217 women looking to talk to him -- Jenny was one of them.

But now he notices that Jenny is still looking for men on the dating site. That has Larry pissed.

Freaking out, Larry calls Jenny and asks her why she is still active on the site. She claims the whole thing is an accident -- the result of a broken phone.

'90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days' Patrick and Myriam

Last week we met Patrick and he was on his way to meet Myriam, who doesn't seem particularly interested in him.

Now he's telling his mom about her. The big concern is that she's Muslim and that it will be difficult to deal with the religion difference.

In Paris, we meet Myriam. For a while, Myriam didn't think Patrick was serious -- but then he said he was on his way. She has a secret that she's not telling him.

'90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days' Sean and Abby

Sean and Abby have finally gotten a bit less awkward together. They had a "magical" night the first night -- she explained what he liked, and he "did good."

But Abby seems preoccupied...she seems unsure about the idea of getting engaged to Sean. For some reason, Abby has asked for Chris (her other "guy") to come down at the same time as Sean, and clearly, drama will ensue...

The next day, Sean meets Abby's family. He explains that he wants to marry her.
